Arthur Taylor (1858 -1932)
- Born in England, immigrated with his family to Canada
- Worked in lumber industry then owned soda waters & soft drinks companies in Marinette, WI with his brother
- 1891 Rhinelander Bottling Works ($2,000 from Lindahl & Larson Bottlers) (Messer St.)
- 1905 1st Coca Cola franchise in WI Built new plant on Stevens Street Building used to shelter families after the North Side Fire. Also produced Orange Crush & Ginger Ale along with Sunrise brand flavored sodas. Used water from spring on the property.
- 1920 Taylor Beverage and Candy Co. Also had a plant in Antigo
- 1936 Coca Cola Bottling Company Inc of Rhinelander
- 1964 Iverson St.
- 1985 Family sold business
Arthur Taylor (besides leading a prospering company)
- Helped organize the Rhinelander Telephone Company
- Rhinelander Building & Loan Association – Secretary and then President
- County Board for 13 years, 4 as Chairman
- Spearheaded construction of the Court House – Chairman of the building committee
- Led establishment of Oneida County Normal School – 1st President
- Secretary of the Oneida County Fair Board – Chairman for 4 years
- Oneida County Agricultural Society – 24 years – Secretary
- Institution of the office of County Agricultural Agent (1st County in the US to establish this)
- Member of the Masonic Orders
- First member of the Rhinelander Lodge of Elks – 1st Exalted Ruler
- Congregational Church – Secretary-Treasurer and Trustee
- Oneida County Democratic Party – Secretary then Chairman for several years
