Krueger, Carl

Carl Krueger (1868-1936)

Krueger was born in Germany on Aug. 15. 1868. and came to America in 1882. He lived in Wausau for several years, and was married there in 1889 to Minnie Heller.

They moved to Rhinelander in 1889. In Rhinelander, Mr. Krueger took an active interest in civic and fraternal affairs, being a leader for many years in the Rhinelander aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had served his city and his county in public office many years, having been a member of the county board of supervisors from a city ward, county treasurer for three terms, superintending of city assessing for many years, and a member of the city board of education several years, serving part of that time as president of the board. He was in business here longer than any other photographer in the city's history, and once boasted that he had taken pictures of three generations in many local families.
